Lokito's Academy
There's no player alive who's been to the depths of Carnage and doesn't know about Lokito or the Academy. The Academy is Lokito's brainchild and has existed almost as long as Carnage. The idea came to life after Lokito realized that he was still a Minecraft No0b, and the same could be said for most of the community. What started as a way of turning Minecraft No0bs into Big Steppahs is now an inherent part of the success of Moonsama Carnage
The team
The Academy has its name after its founder in Chief BabyFacelokito (Lokito), also known as the Lunchmoney collector. Lokito is a Moonsama OG and has contributed a lot over the years. By doing so, Lokito has made himself the no. 1 favorite target during Carnage. Last week Lokito went on air for the 1st time as a special guest on the Moonsama Nation talk show. Lokito had big plans, so he knew he had to find additions to the team, which he found in Epic Monty & Sensei Bebop. Early-stage Lokito discovered the potential in Monty, who is now a moderator on the Moonsama Seasonal Server and was crowned 'Mayor Monty' during a community vote.
Sensei and Lokito met in the middle of nowhere, inside the Metaverse. They started talking, and Sensei turned out to be a great builder and graphic designer. Together with Monty, the core team was complete. The group turned out to be a great fit and, under Lokito's lead, managed to grow the Academy immensely, producing a ton of fun for the community.
The team only did some heavy lifting alone since they had a solid community to fall back on. Over the last year, many community members have helped, mainly to help build the event maps. There have been many helping out, but some deserve a huge shoutout for their fantastic work in the last couple of months.
Cheems, Klinggaard & Fraydikyt have been impressive in building the new event map with the rest of the team and a few others. Bubz has been doing fantastic work educating the community in live Carnage classes. Vonyi, who's been a rock for the community since day one, is always helping out wherever he can.
Remember that the Academy is here for you, the players! None of the team members get anything in return but keep putting their time, money, and effort into it daily, all for the better of the community. Again, HUGE SO to everyone involved with the Academy!
The Academy
The Academy houses different areas that players can use for practice 24/7. These include PvP areas, obstacle runs with various difficulties, a boat race, and more. Bubz is also providing live classes on different in-game subjects. There are also many lessons/levels made to turn Small Steppahs into Big Steppahs.
The Academy started with four beginner levels but soon received a big makeover, adding another eight levels. Each level increases in difficulty with an OG boss fight at the end. Only if you pass all eight levels + the boss fight will you earn the title of Big Steppah and will graduate from the Academy.
The team didn't hold back; some of these levels were really tough, and many players had to improve their skills to pass. There were huge lines during the weekend launch, and just like everything else the Academy produced, the community loved it.
Academy Events
Next to Carnage, nothing has brought more joy, fun, and bonding than Lokito's Academy. Undoubtedly the Academy is most known for its legendary community events. There have been 10+ events, some of which are still ongoing; for others, you need teams. One thing most events have in common is that it involves PvP and a lot of fun.
The day before Carnage, every Saturday, 15:00 UTC, there is a weekly community event organized by the Academy. The current events are mainly Battle of the Bastards, Squid games & Capture the flag.
Since the events are mostly built around PvP, it's a perfect way to practice and prepare for Carnage, taking place the day after. The Academy has produced many events but never did an event took this much time to prepare as the newest event.
This is not just any event, but the biggest one yet, 10+ people have been working on it for months and its primed to be the most successful and fun Event yet!
