Thousands of people on social media, tens of thousands of messages in community Telegram channels, everybody asking 'when launch?', 'when Raresama?', 'when gromlins?'. As the devs were making final touches to the code, the launch was almost 3 hours overdue. That's when Donnie stepped in and cheered the community with daring challenges and a chance to win a gromlin.

The launch
You can imagine the drama when the actual launch happened, and the website crashed. It was an indexer that took the whole thing down. Bots took over and scraped most of the 100 gromlins. However, it didn't take long for the team to respond. They shut down the website and Donnie came up with an announcement: 'We are re-minting the gromlins, anyone who bought will be reimbursed'.

In a few hours, the Raresama website was back up and running, with trading halted for the time being. At the time of writing, gromlins were being distributed to ~200 whitelisted addresses, selected from Telegram and Discord (challenges, pasted addresses, and a raffle).
And what happened to the gromlins that were sniped by bots? Let's say their contracts were 'updated,' as you can see for yourself.
It was a good thing what happened. Remember, Raresama is still just an MVP. Plenty of work to be done. Crashing/exploiting it now was the best thing to happen so that the bigger stuff - that is coming up - can be delivered smoothly and safely.
